FAQ
1Can you measure my job and tell me how much paper and paste I will require?

Yes,

Our Quantity surveyor measures every job, either during an on sie visit or form scaled drawings.

2How do you price the work? Is it by the roll or by a square meter rate?

Both

Standard wall paper is priced by the roll.

Commercial wall coverings such as Vescom, Textura and Muraspec is priced by the square meter.

3Do you supply the wallpaper and paste?

No.

Paper and paste is generally supplied by the architect, interior designer or the client directly.

We can however make recommendations and introduce our clients to a supplier to meet their needs.

4 If my walls are in need of repair, do you offer the repair service?

Yes.

But it depends on the severity of the damage

We can price for minor dents and scratches. We can also price for lining the walls with lining paper

If the damage to the wall surface is very severe, a plastering contractor may be the bestoptions.

5Do my walls need to be sealed?

Yes.

All newly plastered or dry lined walls require a sealer before any wall covering can be installed.

Existing painted walls may be okay, however it depends on the paper and the type of paint finish.(see question 6)

6What happens if my walls are ready painted.?

It depends on the type of wall covering.

- Standard wallpaper
- Commercial wall covering.

It also depends on the paint finish.

- Matt
- Soft Sheen
-Vinyl Silk

Standard paste performs better on a Matt finish, so a shiny surface will require a stronger paste

Commercial paste reacts with most water based paint, therefore it requires an oil based sealer to form a barrier.

7Does old wall paper need to be removed and do you provide a wall paper removal service?

Yes.

Best practice is to remove any existing paper before fitting the new wallpaper.

We do supply wall paper stripping service at a daily rate.
